TURKISH-GERMAN AUTOMOTIVE PLATFORM CONFERENCE in BERLIN
Within the scope of the TURQUALITY Project titled “Promoting the Turkish Automotive Industry in the New Mobility Ecosystem,” implemented with the support of the Republic of Türkiye Ministry of Trade and under the coordination of the Turkish Exporters Assembly (TİM), the Turkish–German Automotive Platform Conference was held in Berlin in cooperation with our stakeholder TAYSAD, Automobilwoche (Germany's leading automotive media outlet), and BWA – The German Federal Association for Economic Development and Foreign Trade.
- Opening remarks were delivered by H.E. Mehmet Fatih Kacır, Minister of Industry and Technology of the Republic of Türkiye, and Mr. Thomas Bareiß, Member of the German Bundestag.
- The conference opened with keynote addresses by Mr. Baran Çelik, President of OIB, Mr. Yakup Birinci, President of TAYSAD, and Mr. Mehmet Ali Kılıçkaya, Director General of Exports at the Republic of Türkiye Ministry of Trade.
- Mr. Bekir Polat, Deputy President of the Presidential Investment Office, presented Türkiye's automotive investment opportunities, highlighting the country's strategic advantages.
- Throughout the day, panel sessions focused on Turkish–German cooperation in the automotive supply industry, sectoral transformation, emerging roles, and the key success factors underpinning bilateral collaboration.
- Panels were moderated by Dr. Yaşar Aydın, Ali Aslan, and Michael Gerster, with contributions from Alper Kanca, Claus Meyer, Dr. Manuel Kallweit, Gürcan Karakaş, Herbert Diess, Prof. Dr. Stefan Bratzel, Faruk Kurtulmuş, Heiko Kretschmer, and Till Oberwörder.
The full-day program concluded with high-impact presentations and panels, fostering meaningful knowledge exchange and concrete collaboration opportunities for the automotive industry.
